The Box, a 100 word story

Such a strange trinket, this tiny carved box. Nina came to Annapolis to clean out her Grandfather's house after he died. This one box was the only thing that had been locked away.

“Why was this locked away?” Looking it over Nina decided it was from India. As she pushed about the edges a crack opened. Miniature monkeys charged out, growing to full size. Monkeys that immediately attacked Nina. Teeth sliced through flesh, blood flowed onto the floor. Her screams were lost in the monkey screams. Silence fell as the monkeys, satiated, returned to their box, locking the lid.
