200 Years in a Moment, a 100 word story

Lori entered the chamber to find only several piles of ancient bones. One had a large golden, medallion. There was nothing else.

“Honey, this has been a goose chase not a gold hunt, you earned this, honey.” She put on the medallion.

Her eyes became hollow and vacant immediately. Her flesh sucked in against bones. Her innards fell from the abdominal cavity. Her clothes fell away as dust. Skin, muscle, and sinew disintegrated, bones collapsed in a heap. All this in a matter of moments after putting it on the medallion, which was now perched lightly atop the ribs.
