Emilio walked through the ashes. It was
still hot even though the fire had gone out days ago. He missed his
college days when his frat brothers would build and burn theirs\ fires. Those
parties generally went three days. After that, the stench of puke,
spilled beer, unwashed bodies, and cold would drive people away.
The air had that stench, that peculiar charcoal,
burnt meat and waste stench that, once you have it never leaves you.
The bones were damaged pretty good, but with a sieve, some luck, and dental records his team could have some of the corpses
identified quickly.
